Muhammad grew up in Atlanta, Georgia playing football, soccer, swimming and basketball until his junior year in high school when he decided to focus exclusively on basketball. Muhammad’s parents were competitive athletes at Stanford University and Clemson University. Muhammad joined Norcross High School his junior year of high school (2017-’18) where he and teammate Brandon Boston Jr led the team to second place finish in Georgia State Basketball Men’s 7A Championship Game. The following season (2018 – ‘19) the duo led the team to the State’s 7A regional championships’ semi-final game. In high school, Muhammad was widely regarded as one of the most talented big men in the country having received offers from Wake Forest, Iowa State, Ole Miss and Xavier as a junior in high school. 

Muhammad competed at Daytona State College for the 2019 – ’20 and 2020 – ’21 seasons and eventually received offers from UGA, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Eastern Carolina University (committed). Muhammad is widely regarded as one of the top players in NJCAA basketball.

AAU experience: Game Elite and AOT – notable teammates include Sharife Cooper, Ashton Hagans and Brandon Boston Jr.
